Kitchen Makeover Part 4: A Pantry!

I now have a pantry! This little kitchen did not have any pantry space when I arrived. Once the hot water heater was removed from the left closet, it was the perfect place to become a pantry. So, cleaning, painting, and shelving later, it provides a lot of storage! Before, this was not only wasted space, but dangerously used space, with an un-drained, leaking water heater that harmed floors in this room and the master bath. With Dad's help, both light fixtures were replaced. One had been heat/smoke damaged, and the other was a bare bulb/porcelain pull-chain socket (originally in the laundry closet).

Busted hot water heater.

The old Hot Water Heater was installed in the closet to the right of the stove, with no drip pan or drain, where it had been seeping water.
